SIGNS & WONDERS SOUP KITCHEN

WHEN A SMALL CONTRIBUTION HAS A LARGE IMPACT

Situated in Napier, a rural village two hours from Cape Town, Paul Harris, our local producer in South Africa, met with people who wanted to cook for the local children.

The Golden Sturgeon donated money to start a soup kitchen with basic pots, pans and vegetables needed. Run by Anna, Lena and Johanna, sisters who selflessly give their time and effort, to feed the poorest of the poor children of Napier. After starting, they have been able to register the charity with the municipality and get some Government assistance. We are currently assisting with the repair of their roof.

Since the start of the soup kitchen, hundreds of bowls of soup get served a week, and more people from the village have jumped in to help make a difference.
